Existing Website Design

When it came to creating my own website, it made sense to me to look at the websites of the companies I researched during my business report. I specifically looked at the film companies, both animation and live action. All of the websites shared qualities that I want to incorporate in to my website. First and foremost, all of the websites rely heavily on visual aids, rather than being swamped in text. Most prominently, the top of each homepage was promoting the companies most recent projects. All of the websites had pages you could go to to learn more about the history of the company, which is important to anyone not familiar with the company, and I took that as something I needed to be mindful of when making my website as well.

One thing I noticed about the overall designs of the websites, was the simplicity of them all. Besides the pictures which were there to promote the companies films, the backgrounds and fonts are all kept fairly basic. Having too much going on in the background, or having the page cluttered with text, would only take focus away from the films being promoted.
