Changes Made

After receiving feedback and looking into more existing websites, I went about making a number of changes to my website. I ended up making a lot more changes than I expected to, as once I'd gotten feedback, I started to spot things that could be improved. Firstly I changed the fonts on the entire website. It was explained to me that by having all of my text in block capitals, it gave the website a slightly aggressive feel, which was not what I was going for at all. I changed the majority of the text to a simple, clear font, but for my name at the head of the website, I went for a font that resembled handwriting, as to me it makes the page look more creative, and artistic. Upon advisement I also lined up the header of the website with the images behind it, and compressed it all, so peoples wont just focus on the images at the top.
I then began making changes I felt made the website reflect more of my personality. I changed the backgrounds of each page, so that rather than fade from black to colour, it fades from colour to white. It was something I didn't really notice until I looked at the websites of Bluezoo and DreamWorks, but the black gave each page a darker appearance than I was trying for. I think changing to the white gives each page a more colourful and lively appeal. I updated the about page to give a bit more information about me as a person, and deleted the paragraph explaining the purpose of the website, as I want the website to explain itself through it's design and content.
I also changed the borders of the images I had put in the website. The borders I initially had were standard, but they looked as if no thought had been put into them. I changed my profile picture from a square to a round picture, as the square picture looked too clinical. I then changed the border of the picture at the bottom of the homepage, to one that resembles a picture stuck on with sellotape. I preferred this border in comparison to the original one I'd used, as it suggests things about my website that I want to be noticed, that it's creative, and positive.
